Adventure – This new group focuses on recreational activities such as hikes and kayaking. Periodic events are organized around a quarterly activity.
Community Meals: Community meals come in many forms, during the year we have opportunities for coming together for meals like, the summer BBQ, Advent family dinner and crafts, Faith in Action celebratory dinner, and more.
This is also a service that we provide for those of our partners that might need a bit of help after illness, loss of family, or if a family member is recuperating from a surgery. This is sponsored by the Care Team for our congregants and generally is over seen by Pastor Jim Warner.
Hope Circle: Hope Circle is a monthly gathering of ladies from the congregation that get together to have fellowship and plan the Hope Circle Fair which happens every November on the third Saturday of the month. This worthwhile fund raiser generates on average 5,000 to 6,000 dollars that is then given to charities around the South County area as well as our own Food Pantry and Personal Needs Closet. They meet throughout the year planning for this event. At the end of the year there is a luncheon. The time that is spent in Hope Circle is time well spent with other women for some fellowship and fun. Hope Circle meetings are held on the second Monday of every month in the Fellowship Hall. Just drop in or call the office for more details.
Senior Lunch: From October until June on the third Thursday of the month St Andrew sponsors a Senior lunch. Bingo Hour starts the day at 10:30 am where all are welcome to attend or not. The meals are some pot luck, some bring a side and or dessert, some full meals but always there is a good time. This is for our retired older folk who want to get together and share a meal and good conversation. As a fun bonus the little ones from the preschool come in and share seasonal songs. The lunch starts at 12:00 noon.
Woman’s Weekend: Every November Women from the congregation go to Calumet in New Hampshire for a fun spirit filled weekend of good food, fellowship, devotional periods, classes, free time, walks in nature, crafts, and a time to relax away from the cares and worries of family life. This fall the weekend the women are going to is November 11-13th. For more information please contact the office at 322-0088.
